        I'am Nishaant from sikkim,i play Pakhawaj and tabla both.I belong to the Lala Keval Kishanji Gharana of pakhawaj.I studied this instrument  following the system of guru sishya parampara.i even play other leather instruments such as:- congas,djembe,khanjari(of bengal),purvey and pashimey maadal of sikkim,and many others.I have just finished my M.MUS. in percussion.Now i'am planning to do phd in the subject:A Cognitive relation between hidden percussion instruments purvey-maadal and pakhawaj. purvey-maadal is a folk instrument of  sikkim.
