Curated by Nathaniel Gaskell, Time & Tide brings together two bodies of work made by Karan Kapoor. The first series, shot in the 1980s, presents a study of ageing Anglo-Indians, primarily from Bombay and Calcutta, and forms one of his earliest personal photography projects. This idea of a world no longer present or fast fading also forms a central thread in Kapoor’s second series of photographs taken in the 1990s during his frequent visits to Goa, where he vacationed with his parents, Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal, at their house on Baga Beach.
