Mandala Artform is all about creating circles and performing meditation in a different way.
Mandalas mean circles in Sanskrit, used during Buddhist time to help the practitioners focus. Throughout ancient history, art has been an outlet for expressing the depth of human experiences. By creating your own Mandala, choosing the patterns, designs, and colors you become more aware of the steps you are taking and in turn become fully conscious and focused on your creative energy. You start to become more relaxed from the center of your mind and body.
Course Structure for 2 Days workshop is:
- Start from the basics of Mandala
- Benefits of Mandala Art
- Grid Making
- Pattern formation
- Techniques and pointers to remember while making Mandala
- Question answer session
Materials required for the workshop:
- Black pen or fine liner and pencil
- Eraser
- Scale / Ruler
- Compass /Rounder
- Stencil ( Optional )
- A4 size Drawing book / Plain paper diary
- Protractor
- Sketch pens or brush pens (optional)
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to understand what essentially constitutes a Mandala, symmetry and designs, grid making, and the process of making layers to be able to make full mandala paintings.
