Fan of poetry, prose, music or drama? Well keep your eyes open and ears peeled because Aaj Tak is back with the 4th edition of our most favourite event in an even grandeur manner. The Nation’s No. 1 News Channel has brought us #SahityaAajTak, a literature festival which will take place on 1st, 2nd & 3rd November 2019, at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The festival is an initiative to highlight the importance of art and literature in today’s era. Plus you get a chance to meet and interact with some of India’s most renowned personalities from academic, art and cultural, and business worlds on one platform where they express their views openly and engage in a meaningful dialogue.
The lineup looks pretty compelling as well with names like Varun Grover, Anup Jalota, Chetan Bhagat, Kumar Vishwas, Devdutt Patnaik, Malini Awasthi, Rahat Indori, Waseem Barelvi, Swanand Kirkire, Udai Prakash and many more! Aaj Tak welcomes everyone to witness the magic of literature and its world. The entry for the event is complimentary on registrations. REGISTRATION IS FREE.

The exhibition “99+1 JAPAN: Traveling Through Art, Design & Architecture” is based on the brochure published by JNTO (Japan National Tourism Organization), which is aiming for foreign travelers to bring wider and deeper experience thorough the tour of Arts in Japan. These days, many foreign tourists visiting in Japan seem to become more aware towards art, design and architecture than before. The catalyst as such the exhibition will transmit the new view of Japan.

As a tribute to more than 220 tribal languages in the NER, this year North East Festival will be presenting artistic perspective of Indigenous languages of North East India.

6th International Folk Dance & Music Festival
ICCR is organizing 3 days “6th International Folk Dance & Music Festival”, 2-4 Dec 2019 at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. Troupes from Kazakhstan, Hungary, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Latvia, Armenia, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Morocco, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan will be performing their respective folk dance and music. The event is organised to foster, strengthen and promote cultural relation and understanding of different countries culture through folk dance and music.

Jashn-e-Rekhta 2019
Jashn-e-Rekhta is a three-day celebration of our Hindustani language, literature & cultural heritage, held annually in Delhi under the aegis of the Rekhta Foundation, a not-for-profit organization devoted to the preservation and promotion of the languages and literature of the Indian sub-continent .
Within the last five years, Jashn-e-Rekhta has left behind the trappings of a festival to emerge as an excellent celebration of Hindustani language, its rich heritage and eclectic art forms. The event includes splendid musical performances of ghazals and qawwalis by renowned artistes. Additional activities include dastangoi, sufi renditions, panel discussions, poetry recitations and enriching conversations. Rekhta bazaar showcases artifacts, merchandise and a book fair. Another highlight of the festival is “Aiwan-i-Zaiqa”, a curated food fiesta that offers various Indian cuisines for the foodie in you.
The festival has been graced by doyens of Hindustani poetry and literature and also by people of eminence from the film, music and television industry. Owing to its uniqueness, Jashn-e-Rekhta has emerged to become the largest celebration for a language anywhere in the world.
The 6th edition of the festival will be held at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi on December 13–15, 2019 (Fri-Sun).

Event Description: ART: Rajas Nawabs & Firangees 1750-1850, Treasures from French & Indian Archives
ALLIANCE FRANCAISE DE DELHI and UNITED SERVICE OF INSTITUTION with the support of NATIONAL MUSEUM present a unique exhibition: a French window onto a rich phase in Indian history. Through carefully curated artwork — including visual material that’s never before been seen in India — and accompanying text by historians and experts, the exhibition is centred around a series of stories: a journey through the lives of 12 Indian rulers and French-speaking officers serving under them during the 18th and the first decades of the 19th century. Sharing court life, some even ruling over vast jagirs, these officers commissioned, or sometimes themselves put together, collections of manuscripts and paintings. Today, many of these priceless treasures are to be found in Paris, in the Bibliotheque Nationale de France (BNF), and are displayed for the first time in India. The high-resolution pictures allow the general public a rare access to a selection from these unique albums, normally restricted to a handful of accredited researchers.
